EVALUATION BY ANALOGY
What will Boylston Street in Boston become like with taller buildings and more commerce? Maybe 5th Avenue in New York!
PLACEIFY is a tool that helps designers communicate and evaluate complex urban experiential qualities by finding real places around the world that closely resemble designed scenarios.
THE PLACEIFY DATABASE
PLACEIFY uses visual, morphological, regulatory and demographic data for thousands of global locations and employs novel algorithms to calculate similarities with proposed urban scenarios.
VIUAL ANALYTICS
The tool uses computer-vision workflows to detect and exract urban features from geolocated street-level imagery
USER INTERFACES
PLACEIFY features novel interfaces and functionalities that allow for reference-based design exploration, ideation and evaluation.
